MM&R PRODUCTS, INC.
MM&R Products, Inc. is a California corporation founded in 2000, consisting of hair stylists Claudio Marino and Bruno Meglio and design engineer and entrepreneur Michael Ragosta (Marino, Meglio and Ragosta). This partnership was formed to develop inventions underlying such products as the RevoStyler and the InStyler, which have revolutionized the art, craft and science of hair care for the consumer and the professional, as well as formulating companion wet good products, such as shampoos, conditioners and various styling and finishing sprays.
Claudio was born and raised in Italy, where his education included undergraduate studies in electro-mechanics. Shortly after moving to the United States in 1974, Claudio attended cosmetology school and received his license in 1976. He continued his professional training working under the tutelage of Gerald Kreigisch, 1969 world champion with the Austrian team. A few years later he assumed management responsibilities at the Gerald Kreigisch Salon and Academy.
In 1990 Claudio established the Claudio Marino Hair Design Salon in Woodland Hills, California where he continues to oversee management and training as well as servicing an active personal client list.
Michael’s professional career began “on the boards” as a commercial artist and technical illustrator. In mid 1974 Michael joined the engineering department at Industrial Electronic Engineers, Inc., a privately-held company that designs and manufactures flat panel displays, keyboards and other man-machine interface devices for mil/aerospace, industrial and consumer applications. During his fifteen years in engineering, he matriculated through a series of design and engineering management positions eventually becoming engineering department head.
In 1988 Michael moved into program management, product development and eventually taking over sales, marketing and business development. As Director of Marketing and Business Development, he established an integrated product development and marketing communication group at IEE, spearheading the development and launch of five new product lines, successfully growing domestic markets and penetrating new international markets in Europe and Asia.
In 1997 Michael joined Flexfab Elastomerix, Inc. in Carson, California as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and an equity partner. Flexfab designs and manufactures liquid-injected silicone rubber molded products for applications ranging from medical, audio, video and telecommunication equipment to under-the-hood automotive seals and gaskets. While at Flexfab he was also managed in-house and off-shore design engineering and manufacturing.
In early 2000 Michael co-founded a software company VirtualEdirect™ that pioneered the use of artificial intelligence to automate the analysis and cost estimating of complex custom products and services, developing a proprietary technology called VirtualE Instant Pricing™
In 2005 Michael co-founded a company Autostop Technology™ that developed in-vehicle, Infrastructure-free wireless radio technology for emergency response and other independent radio-to-radio telecommunication applications.
Michael has served as president of MM&R Products, Inc., since its inception in 2000.
Bruno was also born and raised in Italy. By the time he was eleven his father decided he should “learn a trade” and put him in an apprenticeship to a friend who “cut hair.” For the next five years he practiced his craft in his native Rome. At sixteen he left to work in Ireland, England and France. At nineteen he came to the United States to study and perform in the theater arts. His wife later introduced Bruno to hair stylist and salon owner, Jon Peters, who suggested that Bruno come to his salon in Beverly Hills and give it try. There he found the excitement of creative hair styling and within two years became the Styling Director.
In 1978 he and fellow stylist, Soonie Paik, opened “Bruno and Soonie Salon” on Canon Drive in Beverly Hills and for over 35 years it was a highly regarded Beverly Hills institution. During that time they were Associate Artistic Directors for Matrix responsible for the Diva, Chelsea, Nomad and Hampton trends over the next three years.
Bruno Continues to personally serve an extensive list of prestigious clientele at the Cristophe Salon in Beverly Hills.
